Tour Package to Elephants Orphanage, Giraffe Center, Lunch at Carnivore and Nairobi National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel at 10am (local time) and drive to the Elephant Orphanage center which can take around 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive you will take a walk through the nursery and you will explore the paths and trails the infants take. See a mud bath in action and walk around the stables that the orphaned elephants sleep in at night for warmth and protection, accompanied by their elephant keepers.The feeding time is from 11am to 12pm.
Thereafter, proceed to the Giraffe Centre, headquarters for the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. Established when a?giraffe calf was rescued from the western Kenya border, it features a small portion of a herd living in a semi-wild state at Giraffe Manor. Engage with giraffes at close range at Nairobi’s Giraffe Centre. You may also walk along a nature path to the Gogo River to learn more about Kenya’s giraffes, and take a guided tour during feeding time. (weather permitting) .
Later, drive to the Carnivore restaurant for mouth watering sumptuous lunch full of meat choices roasted on open fire the tradition African way.
After lunch, enter the Nairobi National Park at around 2.30-3pm and embark on a long game viewing drive around the park. It was established in 1946, 114 kms (44 sq miles) of pristine savanna with a large stock of migratory game and lies between the Nairobi-Mombasa railway and the garden suburb of Langata. It is open on its south-east perimeter and here the Kitengela Conservation Area allows a corridor for the natural migration of the game which takes place with the seasonal rains.
The drive will end around 6pm where you will be driven back to your hotel or dropped off at the airport.
